Redirecting income tax is only the beginning of the GROWTH Plan. States, cities, financial institutions, and employers are already advancing housing stability, and their contributions can be deposited directly into GROWTH Accounts.
Across the country, major institutions have made workforce housing a priority, creating incentives and savings tools that align with the Plan’s design. These funds can flow into individual GROWTH Accounts:
- Banks and credit unions are expanding down-payment programs, savings incentives, and mortgage-readiness tools.
- Employers are offering housing stipends, relocation assistance, and workforce-housing benefits.
- Tax-free and matching products now help workers build housing reserves faster.
- Employer bonuses and deposits can directly strengthen a worker’s account.
These efforts reflect a national shift: housing stability is becoming an economic necessity—not a fringe benefit.
